Resources
The Ojibwe have several resources and most re located around Lake Superior because of there need of water. In the lake are an abundance of fish which provide the Ojibwe with an easy access of protein. Also sited around and slightly in the lake are wild rice, which again are an important part of the everyday Ojibwe food. Birch bark from birch trees is used in building wigwams and transportation such as canoes. Maple syrup from maple trees is collected to used as sugar or just as a treat. Other animals found in this area are raccoons, muskrat, beaver, elk and deer. These animals were all hunted and used as resources for food and clothing.
