Transportation
Transportation was mostly done by canoes, they were very strong and carried very heavy loads. They were built out of birch bark (commonly) which is a very firm and strong type of bark. The Ojibwa did not travel on horses, as they had no use for them. In forests and rivers, horses were no help. They also used dogs as pack animals. Today many Ojibwa's hand craft their own canoes instead of using birch bark.
